Kennedy Amdany Langat is a passionate environmentalist and a dedicated advocate for reforestation efforts. Having been born and raised near Mau forest which is the biggest forest in Kenya, he has played a pivotal role in spearheading various projects aimed at restoring and preserving natural ecosystems at community levels through collaboration with Kenya Forest Service (KFS)
Mr. Langat in holds a Diploma in Analytical Chemistry from Kenya Coast Polytechnic. He has previously worked with Kenya Bureau of Standards in Organic and Inorganic Laboratories as an Analyst. Mr. Langat is also a Director at Solar City Eco Energies where he oversees the operations of the company.
“The journey in environmental conservation began with seeing how human are destroying trees in today living. It was during this time that I witnessed, firsthand, the critical importance of reforestation in mitigating climate change, conserving biodiversity, and ensuring sustainable livelihoods for communities’ dependent on forest resources.”
